Chrome Furniture
Commerce + Business Intelligence
Solo — architecture to launch
- Next.js
- Supabase
- Stripe
- AliExpress API
- Power BI
Problem
The build record’s first platform, Repeat Dance Records, proved the commerce architecture. Chrome Furniture was the step chosen to add business intelligence on top of it — a premium storefront that had to do more than take orders, feeding a reporting layer the business could actually run on.
Approach
Chrome Furniture is a Next.js storefront backed by Supabase, with Stripe handling payments. On top of the commerce layer it integrates a supplier API (AliExpress) and runs an automated image-processing pipeline, so catalogue imagery is prepared without manual work. Behind the store sits an order-management backend, and alongside it a Power BI model of revenue and expenses — the BI capability this platform was built to add.
What it does
- Premium storefront on Next.js and Supabase with Stripe checkout
- Supplier (AliExpress) API integration
- An automated image-processing pipeline for catalogue imagery
- An order-management backend
- A Power BI revenue and expense model as the reporting layer
Outcome
Chrome Furniture shipped live. Its Power BI revenue and expense model became the business’s reporting layer — the point in the build record where business intelligence joined the commerce architecture.
